What is product-market fit? And then what is TRUE product-market fit?

For years, I have been using the simple test for this: if people are not willing to pay, then it is not a true product market fit.

No matter how many nice words you hear from people, if they are not willing to pay for what you build, you don't have product-market fit. It's that simple.
