This report provides an overview of the Kingdom’s progress in fostering innovation and economic diversification through deeptech. It identifies 43 high-growth startup, with 50% focusing on artificial intelligence and IoT, and 25% specializing in Industry 40 technologies like robotics and automation.

Since 2020, deep tech startups have attracted over $100 million in funding, supported by government-led initiatives and public investments.

The report also highlights the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance research and development by increasing its active researchers from 20,000 to a target of 140,000 by 2030. These efforts align with SaudiVision2030, emphasizing the role of deep tech in driving innovation, economic growth, and global competitiveness.
